Arsenal won!

Since i am free now i would like to pen down a historic moment in which Arsenal beat liverpool 3-0 on sunday nite at Emirates stadium. Watched the entire match and was gratified by the outcome(arsenal won! haha!). Tried to read some bio throughtout but my mind is only thinking about live football.

Anyway, this match is especially crucial becoz both teams are lagging behind top contenders like Man U and Chelsea by approx.10 points, and so any loss to each team will widen the points gap, making it impossible for my favourite club arsenal to catch up. Liverpool was deadly in the 1st quarter of the game(they scored a goal but it was offside), but it gradually lost its charm over time, with much possession lost to Arsenal. Possesion of ball was 59% for arsenal and only 41% for liverpool. 1st blow to liverpool came at 41 min when arsenal midfielder flamini did a sliding shot from a low cross made by his teammate. During 2nd half of the game, arsenal defender toure rushed up all the way to the front to prove that a defender could score too.(2-0).Last goal was headed in by Gallas after receiving the ball from Van Persie in a corner kick. Gallas was virtually unmarked by liverpool.(3 0) This sparked a fierce quarrel between frustrated Gerrad and his confused liverpool teammates. Can't believe Gerrad lost his cool, and i think most of the blame should be put on him, since he was the guy closest to Gallas but he was doing nothing about it. Close to full-time, Aresenal midfielder Adebayo repeated his traitmark solo run( he did this and scored against Man U) to the goalpost but failed to score. Last thing worth mentioning is that referee's legs went cramped during the game and whistled to pause the game, drawing rousing laughter from the crowd.

Coach Wenger was rather contented throughout the game and cameras kept zooming on him ever since he lost his cool and went into a rage with west ham manager. Benitez, on the other hand, appeared witless and solemn, scribbling notes throughout as he watched his team liverpool crumpled under the might of Arsenal. Kind of feel sorry for him and at one time, he looked like he was crying...

Overall, it was a impressive clash between 2 EPL giants of all time!
